Hello,

I reproduced the behavior on the latest Nightly (131.0a1/20240822214747), Beta (130.0b8/20240821091813) and Release (129.0.2/20240819150008) under Windows 10 and Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.

I will mark this report as New although it seems to imply an enhancement since extension buttons can be pinned without any issues on the toolbar albeit on the other side of the extensions panel button. In case of error do mark it accordingly.

This behavior is correct because the extensions button is a CUI (toolbar) widget since Bug 1820743. When the extensions button is moved on the navbar, e.g. to the other side of navbar, "pinning extension toolbar buttons to the left of the menu" doesn't quite work anymore.

Also, all the CUI widgets are added to the end of the list (on the navbar) by default, it isn't specific to extension buttons.

Should I resolve this issue as invalid then?

I think so.
