User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:129.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/129.0
Steps to reproduce:
I enabled Threads in Table view or Replies in Cards view
My User Agent is Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:128.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/128.1.0
Actual results:
When in Table view, collapsed threads do not indicate anyhow that there are unread messages, which gives terrible experience to me as a user, as it complicates following/replying a conversation thread.
I have learned today that there is this new Cards view (I think from v128). When the thread is collapsed in this view, there is only a very little green dot in the left bottom corner of the initial card of the thread, that indicates to me that there are unread emails in this thread. I think, making the subject line bold is a better idea - the dot is just too small, and it has a strange pieceful green color that gives a feeling that everything's ok, which contradicts to the actual need of reading/replying to this email.
Expected results:
Thunderbird should make a collapsed thread title line in bold font like, e. g., Gmail does, so that it is helpful to the user to react to new unread emails.
P. S. I want to put the Bug Type "Request for enhancement" but, imho, it is actually really a defect as the email client must not hide unread messages from the user.

Collapsed threads with unread messages should appear underlined. WFM with nightly on Mac. And also WFM with 128 on Windows.
There are no plans to do more than that. But bug 242300 asks for more.
