Steps to reproduce:

I recently noticed that on some large images, tab previews show incorrect previews compared to Chrome and Safari. For example, open these two large images in a new tab and left-click on the girl with purple hair, who is located on the right side of both photos, to enlarge her face.

Then switch to another tab and hover over the tabs with these photos. The preview will not show the girl with purple hair, but completely different parts of the photo.

In Chrome and Safari, in this case, previews work correctly.

Hi 5silentrain! Thanks for reporting this. I am unable to reproduce this on latest Firefox Nightly 132. Some changes have been made to the way screenshots are resized for tab previews, can you try to update to the latest Firefox Nightly and see if the issue is still occurring?

Updated to version 132.0b1, but the bug is still easily reproducible.

I can reproduce the bug with the given steps in Nightly on Windows 11, it looks like the screenshot tool is not considering the viewport visible area but instead crops another area.
You must open the Images in a new tab so it's basically just a tab containing a large image (not an imguri page), then clicking on the image makes it actual size since by default it's shrinked. Only a part of it will be visible, not the part shown in the screenshot.
