Details

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open an Apple event stream from here: https://www.apple.com/apple-events/
  • If that link does not work over time, this is the direct link but it does not allow for reproducing the same bug.
  1. Open the video in PiP once you see the PiP icon after hovering over the video.
  2. (Ensure focus on the PiP element) Click on the pause button.
  3. Observe.
  4. Use the video timeline anchor to seek forward.
  5. Observe.

Expected behaviour

  • At step 4, the video should pause.
  • At step 6, the video should seek forward to the time moved to.

Actual behaviour

  • At step 4, the video does NOT pause.
  • At step 6, the video seeks forward to the time moved to.

Additional information

  • The button only works when starting off in a paused/unplayed state.
  • Platform: Mac OS 14.5 (23F79)
  • Nightly 131.0a1 (2024-09-02) and Release 130.0 (64-bit)

Same on Beta 131.0b2 (aarch64), macOS 14.6.1
