Details

(Whiteboard: [support])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/128.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Searched web for how to change default browser in tb
They all say the same thing and are all obsolete.

Actual results:

the "default browser" setting has been removed.
Setting all the url handle external options to true does NOT trigger a popup to choose default browser.

Expected results:

I should not be forced to see all links in chrome. It is neither my preferred browser nor the windows system default browser (which is FF)

Thunderbird just uses the default browser.

NO, it doesn't. FF is my default browser but TB ignores that and opens chrome. I've followed all of Mozilla's instruction for how to change the default. The instructions are obsolete. They refer ti settings that have been removed.

I have done a temporary workaround until this fixed; I completely uninstalled chrome. Now, TB opens FF
