I got this and the patch forwarded to me through e-mail from timeless: compiles and passes xpcshell on unix and windows. i didn't get around to writing the mac changes (they're a bit harder since i don't have a working mac build env). i haven't heavily tested them with real plugins, but it should be clear if my patches work.

maybe nsPluginTag::mFileName and nsPluginTag::mFullPath can be merged to an nsIFile to save space?

Looks like a revised version of the patch on this bug was submitted as part of bug 194240 -> in any case, that bug seems to have removed the use of nsFileSpec in the plugins module, therefore marking as dup.
