Steps to reproduce
- On Fenix Nightly open some of the most visited websites (i.e. wikipedia.org, youtube.com, cnn.com, bbc.com, etc).
- Observe if the autocomplete action is taking place.
Expected behavior
After texting the first letters, the rest of the URLs should be autocompleted.
Actual behavior
I had to manually insert all the URL.
Device information
- Firefox version: Nightly 132.0a1 from 9/11
- Android devices: Google Pixel 6 (Android 15), Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra (Android 14), Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite (Android 7), Lenovo TB X606X (Android 10)

Summary: [Toolbar redesign] No more autocomplete URLs → No more autocomplete URLs

We are currently running a test, and are likely to completely remove this feature.
What we have discovered is that
- It requires us to maintain a list of domains and constantly update it, especially since domains expire and we could direct users to bad sites.
- Just because a user starts to type something (like cars for instance), doesn't mean they want to go to cars.com.
You will only have to type a domain once, because once you've gone to bbc.com, it will autocomplete.
