There is nothing special to do, it's just that the tabs crash all the time

Lot of unrelated crashes from various Firefox parts. Consider to check your hardware, do memcheck for instance. May be caused by corrupted memory or broken system.

Everything is fine with memory, just checked with memtester, also I want to note that crashes happen only with Firefox, all other programs work fine. Could it be related to the desktop environment? Firefox crashes in tile window managers, no matter X or Wayland, it worked best for me on Plasma Wayland with almost no crashes.

It may be caused by the environment. Looking at the crashes there aren't any particular pattern, it just crashes randomly everywhere. May be out-of-memory scenario too.

It seems I managed to establish the cause of the crashes, thanks for the tip about the memory. I had zram configured as swap, I removed it and only once after that did my tab crash. I did zram manually according to the guide from archwiki using the udev rule, here is what my file 99-zram.rules looks like: ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="zram1", ATTR{comp_algorithm}="zstd", ATTR{disksize}="8192M", RUN="/usr/bin/mkswap -U clear /dev/%k", TAG+="systemd" . Since other programs worked fine, then Firefox probably doesn't work well with zram

Long shot, but could you have troubles with your hard drive and it manifests via the zram usage?

No, my assumptions about zram turned out to be false; the problem occurs even without zram. I also bought a new ssd and switched to the tiling wayland compositor dwl from xorg, but the problem still persists. Occasionally, tabs crash, and as I mentioned before, this happens exclusively with Firefox; no other software crashes

I highly doubt it, looking at your recent crashes it's mostly content within js code or rdd processes in VA API error handling code. And give your content process crashes are on websites with video, I suspect the RDD crashes are just a byproduct of the content process crash (there's IPC VideoBridge errors, symptomatic of unexpected shutdown of the content process)

Given the reports, I'm wondering about your CPU/memory, have you verified with memtest86+ that your memory is OK?

I dont know what is memtester here. The fact that only Firefox would crash is not really relevant, it could still be a hardware issue. I've seen myself many cases where failing hardware (be it memory, CPU or SSD) would only be visible in a specific program execution. The fact that so many if your crash reports have non zero bitflip risk and some are high is suspicious at best. Crashing so much in JS code would be consistent IMHO.

Yes, it seems you were right. I ran memtest86+ and errors were found on the second pass. It looks like I need to replace the RAM https://imgur.com/a/cOlages

Thanks for checking. We have a new feature in the crash reporter tool on nightly that would perform a memtest as well, can I ask you to give it a test on a new profile to not break your release profile ?

I can't speak for AUR, but nightly binaries from mozilla.org would be fine

Based on comment 20, this is due to bad RAM. Closing because there's no bug, but I'm still interested in your feedback on the in-crashreporter memtest feature.

Currently the memtest feature can't test as much memory on Linux as there is a limit on how much memory we can lock (A workaround is still being developed). So I suspect it might not be very effective. Still might worth a try though. The feature is triggered whenever the whole browser crashes, and the memtest results is recorded in the crash report.
