User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 11; Mobile; rv:132.0) Gecko/132.0 Firefox/132.0
Steps to reproduce:
After closing a tab, from the tab tray, it does not appear in the Recently closed tabs section. There are some tabs that I haven't been on for a long time and I've always cleared app cache and other data and I think that's affecting this behavior.
Actual results:
The closed tab does not appear in the Recently closed tabs section.
Expected results:
The closed tab should appear in the Recently closed tabs section, even if it loses cache or other things that may affect it.

It can be reproduced, if a tab remains unused for a week of exe we always delete cache from the application, then the error is reproduced.

I suspect that this may be because the tab hasn't loaded / hasn't finished loading yet (since the tab preview is not shown for the closed tab). Thus, fenix doesn't consider it as "opened" to begin with. Can you check if the tab is saved in the history before closing and checking if it is in recently closed please?

I was unable to reproduce this on the Fenix Nightly 133.0a1, and Fenix 131.0.3, with Realme GT Master Edition (Android 13), and Google Pixel 6 (Android 15).
I have opened a tab, not let it fully load, and closed Fenix entirely, even from the recent apps.
Set the time and date a few days in the future, opened Fenix, closed the tab. The closed tab was displayed in the Recently closed tabs.
I'll remove the qe-verify+ until the reporter provides more details.

The only additional information is only this: Those tabs that do not appear in the last closed tabs, I have not been accessed for over a month or even more and during this time I have not accessed the tab and when I close the tab, that tab should not accessed. Please try to leave a tab and clear cache always from the app, but the tab remains unaccessed, it closes without being in the foreground accessed.

Thank you for the additional details.
I am still unable to reproduce the issue. Tested with a Realme GT Master Edition (Android 13), and Google Pixel 6 (Android 15).
I have opened some tabs, forced the date & time a month ahead, and opened Fenix on homepage, not on the opened tabs. Closed all the tabs, and visited History -> Recently closed tabs. All the tabs were displayed.

I don't think changing the time etc has any effect to reproduce the error, all that matters is clearing the cache very many times and the tab being untouched and just closed from the tab tray and I think the tab must be old. However the error is reproducible.

See 1924870 for context. I experimented with it and ot looks like the closed tab order is related to the history and not a separate list.

Thank you for the extra details.
I am able to reproduce this in this way:
- I already have 10 recently closed tabs, and a lot of "old" tabs still opened and unaccessed in a while (by old meaning that those pages are opened before the recently closed ones),
- I close one of the old opened tabs without opening it -> this tab is not displayed in the "Recently closed". only in History.
I'm not entirely sure it is not expected.
Tagging Rahul for more info here.
