User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:130.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/130.0
Steps to reproduce:
Click on the magnifying glass in the search bar.
Click on one of the search engines.
Actual results:
Nothing.
Expected results:
I should have arrived at the search engine page so that I can type in my search query without leaking it to the default search engine (I don't want to turn off search suggestions because they are sometimes useful). This has always worked before but in latest version it forces me to type something before searching.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Search' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

This functionality is being re-added in bug 1907034, with a shift modifier. See bug 1907034 comment 6 for the reasoning behind the change.
