To suggest a new parameter to strip, submit a bug with this form. Modify the summary to name the parameter and site and fill out the form.

This is a meta bug for modifying the parameter list MPL2/StripOnShare.json and LGPL/StripOnShareLGPL.json.

Bugs about the "Copy Clean Link" implementation should block Bug 1871793 instead.

Submitting patches

When submitting a patch please make the commit message look like this:

• Bug [...] - Copy Clean Link: Strip [...] from [...]

Examples:

• Bug 1927080 - Copy Clean Link: Strip query parameter "pp" on youtube (if you add a single parameter)
• Bug 1927080 - Copy Clean Link: Strip more query parameters from youtube (if you add multiple parameters)

To avoid merge conflicts with multiple changes, try to insert the domain in alphabetical order. Except for "global" that goes first in the list.

Reviewing patches

Make sure the commit message is in the above form.

Simple list changes don't get tested automatically. To test manually once, make sure the example link given in the bug report gets stripped correctly. To do some more foxfooding also navigate through a few more pages on that domain and look for other query parameters to strip. If you find more query parameters either include them in the bug or open a new bug for the new parameters.
