Please summarize the request, emphasizing any user-facing changes. Include historical context or background information if it helps users understand the new features or changes. [REQUIRED]
As we've heard from multiple studies that some Firefox users would want to feel that Firefox is differentiated from other browsers, as the Desktop Onboarding Team, we would like to experiment with that by sending our users to a sumo article (via link) where they can read how Firefox is differentiated from other browsers. From what I am seeing, this article should not be limited to our experiment and be widely available to anyone who is interested to learn how Firefox is differentiated from other browsers.
##Are the user-facing changes mentioned above for the production release, or is the feature/change experimental/ beta? (Production, Experimental or Beta) REQUIRED] no
**Note: Specify if the user-facing changes mentioned above are final, experimental, or in beta. This information is crucial for determining the appropriate support and documentation level needed. Please note that SUMO KB articles only support the production version for Firefox.
Are the new features or changes region-specific? Are they going to be released in a gradual rollout? [REQUIRED] From what I know (though that needs to be confirmed by others), all of the features that we would like to mention in the articles are available in all regions.
**Note: Please confirm if these features or changes are limited to specific geographic regions and if they will be implemented gradually. Knowing this helps us tailor our documentation and support resources appropriately.
Please indicate if this is an on- or off-train release [REQUIRED] N/A
**Note: If applicable, add the product version number to the end of the Summary field using the format: Summary [Product V123]. If this is an off-train release, please use the format: Summary [Product off-train].
What is the anticipated release date? [REQUIRED] 10/14/2024
Note: Content is typically published at, or within, 48 hours of the release.
Does the content need to be published prior to the release date? If so, when? Yes, 10/10/2024
Note: If you don’t let us know if this date changes, it will be published on this date
Does the content need to be localized in any languages outside of EN-US? If yes, please indicate which languages. [REQUIRED] For now, we can only start with English.
Note: A minimum of 10 days is required for translation requests.
Please include any related JIRA/Github/Bugzilla tickets, documentation, demos or practical use cases. [REQUIRED]
Brief: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1w4uuXmlu7MLkEU6WjT6N9_cwg3V6fE6qcU-L1twaZFI/edit
Jira: https://mozilla-hub.atlassian.net/browse/FXE-884
Content Ideas: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nGPi88fzOSmbSnC7SCWWchuxl8FEEFk3J_sEikGi-Zs/edit?usp=sharing
Please include links to any design assets, visuals, figma files, etc. [REQUIRED] N/A
Note: Ensure to submit only final visual assets relevant to the Production release, excluding Nightly or Beta images, and favor 'Light mode' UI screenshots over 'Dark mode'
Please add instructions for testing that will enable us to replicate the expected product behavior. [REQUIRED] N/A
Does the content need approval before publishing? If yes, identify the one approver responsible for this task. Maybe some people from Marketing should approve. I'm not sure who that person be at this moment.
Note: Minor changes such as string updates are directly handled in SUMO, and will not lead to the generation of a pre-publishing draft. [REQUIRED]

I do not mind picking this one up, but I think we may already have this content available to users on the web at https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/browsers/compare/

Hey Paul! Sorry I missed this earlier. We’ve already got an initial draft up—could you take a look and help us polish it? Here’s the link! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FNvZE9gfrOaDnAY6z-t8mt_ujrPYhdCSQfuW6c9BDI4/edit
I have had a quick look over it and can see a few sections that need to come out to make the word "unique" accurate.
Happy and keen to help fill the gaps with some new content - when would this be needed for?
I also briefly checked the draft and liked the first version. I believe overall it's very close to finish. We need that by October 10, 2024. Thank you!
Its very close to being finished...if half of it is replaced. Some of the content there is not correct and is very misleading as to the unique features of Firefox.

Thanks, everyone, for the quick review! I noticed Paul brought up some important points in the draft, and it got me thinking. Should the article focus strictly on features that are exclusive to Firefox and can’t be found in other browsers? Or can we also include features that, while not exclusive, Firefox takes a unique or higher-standard approach to?
Definitely the only Firefox ones are the top priority in this article. And also as long as we communicate that accordingly we can also add some features that are while not exclusive, Firefox take a unique or higher standard approach to incorporating them.
Please can I pick this one up?
It would be handy to have access to the "brief" document. (Access has been requested.)

Do you need some more inspiration? I published an article two months ago with 12 features (plus one bonus point) that make Firefox unique (some features that only Firefox has, some features that Firefox does much better than the other browsers). The article is in German, but Firefox has a great translation feature (which is item 1 on my feature list). 😉

Hi Sören, great to hear from you. Thank you so much for your input on this, I really like your article - thank you for sharing it.
I need to catch up with uceylan off-line about this request and if we do use it (no guarantees) we may want to re-word some elements, but would you have any problems with us incorporating some of your thinking into this work?
