Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set up a webserver that serves on port 1080
2. try to connect to it.
3. Error message saying the port is disabled for security reasons

Actual Results:

Expected Results:
connected...

MSIE & Opera can connect.

I have read the release notes. We are a company that uses Mozilla a lot. We
develop embedded linux devices and I'm not satisfied with bug closer hitlers.
Your product still has this bug and it should be dealt with.

From the bug report page.
Blocker: This bug prevents you from testing or developing Mozilla.
Yes this prevents me from testingand developing with mozilla.

That is no bug, that's a wanted security feature that you can disable via
preferences.

Where is the problem ?
