Hi James! Can you please take a look at this?
After some digging, I saw that this was happening on the early as beta simulation from September 20th which I suppose it tested this range of merges from central. On the early as beta simulation from September 19th this was not happening for sure.
Thank you!

Could this possibly be from https://hg.mozilla.org/integration/autoland/rev/8046864b1279 ?

Alastor, do you know if this can be explained by a change to media code? https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/24e8717b169df6d3fd4047af46b10b4a40688787#l20.1 had only changed test expectations for one test.
The failure has been observed only with central-as-beta simulations up to this point.

The change from bug 1920746 made the test expect only fail.
if (os == "win") and debug and (processor == "x86_64"): FAIL
if (os == "win") and not debug: FAIL
However, the original condition is if os == "win": FAIL, which means on Windows we also only expected fail as well.
So there are two possibilities (1) some recent patches landed on the central fixed the test case, (2) we incorrectly run the test by [FAIL, PASS] in the past, but that was corrected by bug 1920746
