Details

In bug 488796 it was determined that form values would rarely be longer than 200 chars,
therefore the limit was locked at that value.

However since 2009 this has surely changed, therefore this limit should be increased, back
in bug 364112 it was set to 2000 characters.

Are there still performance reasons that would require this strict of a limit for form history?
