192157 - It asks my username and password on a NG server that requires authentication even if using Password Manager

I am using this free NewsServer: http://news.cis.dfn.de/
This NewsServer requires authentication (they give you an username and password
for free... they only ask you to register).
I saved my username and password with the Password Manager... but everytime i am
idle (not using newsgroups) for some minutes it reasks me username and password.
This fixes pressing cancel many times or reinserting username and password
(until you are idle again).
This happens to me all the time and it is very annoying :(

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get an account http://news.cis.dfn.de/
2. Use Password Manager to save username and password
3. Subscribe and use for some time the newsgroups
4. Be idle for some time (10 mins or less should be enough)
5. Try to change newsgroup or tell it to download new messages

Actual Results:  
it will ask you _again_ username and password (even if it is saved in Password
Manager).

Expected Results:  
It should _not_ ask username or password after some mins that you are idle.

Mozilla stores the password only for the group and not for the whole server.
Do you mean that ?

No, it asks again the password and username after a while that i have been idle
[even though it has been saved in password manager]. The username and password
have been saved in the Password Manager the first time i got the newsgroups-list
from that NNTP newsserver.
In Outlook Express i saved the login and password [for that newsserver] only the
first time i set up the account... with Mozilla "Mail&Newsgroups" it reasks me
the login and password for the newsserver everytime i am idle for some minutes
and i cannot understand why :(
I tried rebooting too... and the problem is still there.
