Steps to reproduce:

Using Thunderbird on Windows 10 with version 128.3.0esr 32bit. I have multiple POP and IMAP mailbox configured to download emails and on starting TB and mails syncing the complete window goes unresponsive and mouse moves very slowly and clicks. Unable to use TB as all things run slow, other Windows app run fine.
When i turn on troubleshoot mode, TB runs fine, have all the latest updates installed.

Also consider the possibility of, and test for, faulty hardware.
