1923380 - Editing tag name sometimes creates invisible tag of the original name

Steps to reproduce:

I created 3 tags with unique colours:
TO READ, TO RESPOND, TO REVISIT

I then applied TO READ to several of my emails (for the record, it was a Microsoft Exchange account powered by Owl).

Before continuing, I renamed each of the tags one by one:
READ, RESPOND, REVISIT

I then started applying RESPOND to emails in the same account, followed by more of READ.

Actual results:

At first, things appeared to be fine - I didn't check the names of the tags on the messages, but the Tags list looked normal and the colours were correct.

A few seconds after I started applying the renamed tags, the messages I'd previously applied TO READ to suddenly appeared invisible - no content. When I looked at them, it turned out they had a TO READ tag with black text.

I looked in the Tags list, and it now contained:
READ, TO READ, RESPOND, TO RESPOND, REVISIT

READ, RESPOND, and REVISIT all had the correct colours. TO READ and TO RESPOND were black.

Expected results:

Once the tags were renamed, they should have stayed that way.
