Here's an enhancement suggestion for the dropdown selection that appears when clicking next to the address bar:
When showing the options to search w/ a search engine or for Bookmarks, Tabs, History etc. it should not only list those options but also the search prefix 8right aligned, greyed out).

This would align it with the experience that people have with e.g., the Edit menus that we already have in Firefox and which show the short cuts (e.g., CTRL/Cmd+C for Copy and so on).

Summary: (soctchbonnet) dropdown for search/action/bookmarks etc. could show the prefix characters → (scotchbonnet) dropdown for search/action/bookmarks etc. could show the prefix characters

We discussed this originally when we did the design for it, and decided not to include the aliases/prefixes.

We're moving away (though will still support) from the previous prefixes of %, ^ etc, and pointing towards aliases - typically starting with @. These can be shown by typing @ in the address bar, and I believe we'll be adding onboarding for that.

If we add the new @ aliases to the pop-up, then we'll be duplicating the names, so you'll see things like Tabs........@tabs and Google........@google.

Hence we've decided on won't fix for this. Though we may in the future consider how to expose the aliases more.
