ISP is mail.xmission.com (http://www.xmission.com)
does deleting XUL.mfl (restart browser) help ? This file is in the profile
directory.
It may be same bug I encountered with 1.3b.

I am using Mail client with IMAP4 server.
Mozilla says something like "the server is not IMAP4".

It is trying to connect with IMAP server. sometime, there is a line on status bar;
something like "checking server ability". (ability maybe not the right word).
It looks just stack. then when I close mail client, then popup windows comes up
and says like "the server is not IMAP4"

So, I also went back to 1.3a.

server is redhat 7.2. client and server is running on same machine.
redhat 7.2 is running http://www.washington.edu/imap/ for IMAP4.

I am using mozilla on RedHat Linux 7.2.
1.3 (final release) works fine in same environment above.
for me, this bug is FIXed.

Thanks a lot.

24Jun19 – result after last software update; last message received 23/06/2019 07:25 despite several much later ones received via Plusnet Webmail.

Thunderbird Connection to server mail.plus.net timed out

Tried to send a message to all three wallace999 addresses:

This is the result: Send Message Error
Sending of the message failed
The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) relay.plus.net timed out. Try again.

(and. of course, nothing received by either Plusnet Webmail or Thunderbird)

Created a Bugzilla account (activation link received via Plusnet Webmail (not Thunderbird!) and most typical fault appears to be Bug ID 192420 (but fixed 17 years ago with last update 11 years ago!). Looked for suggested file (XUL.mfl) in \Program Files and \Program Data folders but not found.

Checked \Programs\Mozilla Maintenance Service folder and note two files timed at 23/06/2019 09:36 named maintenanceservice.log (4kB) and maintenanceservice-install.log (1kB), both described in Windows 7 Explorer as fv.document.log.
