I don't know if what I have is the same as the reporter, but I'm running GTK2
and 1.3 (alpha or beta) locks for me.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. compile with GTK2
2. open a webpage big enough to display a scrollbar
3. press an arrow key (to scroll)

it locks. It doesn't even update the X canvas anymore, and neither does it
print anything on stdout that could help tracing the problem.

sorry about the duplicate comment, must have been some form auto-filling stuff I
didn't notice.
update: I just installed 1.3 final and this still happens.

Also, different from the reporter, I'm running Linux, not FreeBSD. I dare say
this problem is not specific to OS, but to GTK2.

I wouldn't dare give this a severity of critical, what with GTK2 support being
in development, but it's a blocker *for me* - it makes me unable to use Mozilla
(and anything gecko-based) at all. Please, if you can't reproduce this, contact me.
I install mozilla-snapshot in Linux Debian Unstable (SID).
I'm spanish and i install locales-es Euro support.
It works fine in console... But in Gnome session (GTK2), xterm not use "es"
keyboard and mozilla crashes after touch any kb-button. The same to galeon.
I have the same problem with Mozilla 1.6, epiphany and Galeon on FreeBSD
4.8-RELEASE #4, all built from the FreeBSD ports. As soon as I press a key (any
key) after these apps start, they lock, forcing me to restart them. After
restarting any of them four to six times, it works like a charm. It does not
matter what part of the window has the focus... This bug is _always_
reproducible, at least in this specific computer (the one I am writing this on)...

This appears to be a problem with GTK2.

Is it related to Spanish support? I'm not sure I understand Comment 6.

Some other app hogging the sound card?
Reporter: so the mouse still works? You can click on the scroll bars to scroll?
It's only the keyboard that stops working?
I haven't seen this in months, seems to have been fixed.
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
