Whenever I go to themes.mozdev.org, and try to click on one of the theme choices
to the right, the 'hand' icon and browser UI will freeze for a few seconds.
During this freeze Moz jumps to using around 98% CPU. After this initial freeze,
the browser then loads the link. The problem is - after this freeze, the browser
is crippled. From what Ive been able to check on, this is what no longer works:
*URL bar navigation (Incl 'GO' button)
*Opening links in tabs (w/either File menu, right click, or middle-click)
*Menu Options - Have not tested all - but Prefs, Help, Print dont work.
(anything that involves opening a new window, perhaps??)
Another thing of note is that the issue only takes place with the window that
the freeze occurs in. For example, if you have 2 windows for Moz open, and you
click a 'freeze link' in window 2, only window 2 gets sick. Window 1 remains
running fine and dandy.
This is NOT a specific issue with themes.mozdev.org. It has happened to me
previously with many other sites -- its just that t.m.o seemed the best example
to use here.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.navigate to themes.mozdev.org
2.click on any theme selection posted to the right
Actual Results:
Mozilla freezes for several seconds; after which tabs cannot be loaded, some
menu items become useless, and URL bar cannot be used.
Expected Results:
Link should have been loaded immediately, with no damage being done to menues,
tabs, or URL bar.

WFM - 1 day old CVS trunk build - WinXP-Sp1.
Any 3rd party theme ?
In your profile (cf release notes to find it), removing xul.mfl - while mozilla
is closed - cures the bug ?
If so -> duplicate of bug 169777.

No 3rd party themes installed. Currently using Classic theme.
In fact, when I installed this build, I had just nuked the Moz program folder
and the profile files. Just tried removing xul.mfl... Restarted browser, and I'm
still having the same issues.

Today I upgraded to build 20030209. After doing so, I went through a
step-by-step process of replacing my 'stuff' to Mozilla, as I had deleted the
program files and profile stuff, as I normally do. After installing each thing I
restarted the browser to see if this issue had returned... Bookmarks updated ok,
plugins updated ok, splashscreen ok (I know, shouldnt matter, but Im including
everything ;) ), then came TabbrowserExtension... not ok. The issue seems to be
happening after install of that. Im not sure if that invalidates this bug, or
whatnot - seeing as how its a 3rd party extension - but I wanted to include this
tidbit to help.

Well, this extension should be the *bug* !
Maybe you have to download the latest version, or you will have to wait until a
compatible version is released.
This can invalidate the bug, of course ! :-|
