Currently the tooltip when hovering the lock icon only says "Verified By: some_entity", it would be nice to also show the origin, in particular in small windows, where the origin may not be visible.

Freddy, wdyt? Is this something that was done on purpose, or is there some ongoing plan to improve this along with merging with the shield?

I kicked off a bit of a discussion internally, but there's not one true way on how to do this. Lots of opinions here. I could see us specifying the domain name of the current site with the name of the certificate authority. Instead of saying "Verified by Let's Encrypt" it could say "Site test.example is verified by Let's Encrypt". But if the UX & content teams have a strong opinion I am happy to hear.
