1) the right url is the first one, not the other. 2) works for me, using a one hour old cvs based build - WinXP-Sp1 - JRE 1.4.1_01. 3) As you're using linux, how did you installed your JRE ? Copying java2/plugin/i386/ns610/libjava.oji.so in your plugins directory or symlinking it ? Copying -> bug is invalid, see 1.3a or 1.3b release notes ! http://www.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla1.3a/ or http://www.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla1.3b/ 4) Did you try with a 1.3b release, as it is now the current version of Mozilla ?
WFM with Mozilla 1.3b final under Win NT 4.0, JRE 1.4.1. The component of this bug is not Javascript Engine but I don't know the correct one (something with Java).

Hi, sorry, my mistake. Bug was because of copying instead of symlinking.

Reopening to resolve correctly. If this is invalid it shouldn't be marked "fixed".

Marking Verified - For the record, the correct component for Java plug-in problems is OJI. See http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=Browser.
