Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:131.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/131.0
Steps to reproduce:
- In about:config, set sidebar.verticalTabs = True
- Open the sidebar (you may need to add the button for it in the toolbar, as there seems to be no keyboard shortcut for it)
- Make sure your vertical tabs sidebar is already scrolled to the bottom, and your currently active tab is near the bottom too
- Middle-click a link in the current page
Actual results:
The newly opened tab (from middle-clicking the link) silently opens in the background, but it is invisible because it is scrolled out, the vertical tabs view does not auto-scroll to it, unlike the horizontal tabs view.
Expected results:
Auto-scroll the vertical tabs view to reveal the newly created tabs as they get created (i.e. match the behavior of the horizontal tabs strip).
