I unfortunately have no STR, but while rarely, I got a couple of times the list failing to display texts at launch. Restarting TB fixes the issue, and text appears correctly after.
Joined screenshot have not been anonymized, it's exactly the way it appears.
Up-to-date TB on version 128.3.2.

Please check Error Console.
What errors do you see there when it is recognized that the message list is empty.

Unfortunately I needed my emails so I restarted TB and as I said, the bug doesn't appear very frequently (although it definitely happened more than once, and I think on versions older than 128). I'll try to check this if it happens again.
In the meantime, I wanted to point out there's more than one column that's blank, and I wanted to check other columns names… which led me to see I have very different columns. I'm user of https://github.com/thunderbird-conversations/thunderbird-conversations and didn't mentioned it nor reported an issue there as I didn't thought it was touching to the message list, but only to the frame below displaying messages' contents.
So do you think it can be related and a bad interaction between those, race condition or something?

Yeah I'll definitely check it, although for another issue where I was asked the same and that happened yesterday, console was unfortunately empty.

So, bug happened again now, the only message that might be relevant here is that one:
12:16:46.763 Layout was forced before the page was fully loaded. If stylesheets are not yet loaded this may cause a flash of unstyled content. 164.bundle.js:3053:28
There are errors after, but those are related to calendar.
I can keep Thunderbird in this bugged state a couple of hours if needed if there's anything more you would want me to check, more would be difficult.

I don't think of what could be checked.
But, do you have any add-ons installed? Try Help | Troubleshoot mode. IIRC there's some add-on that have issues with the columns.

Only installed addons are Thunderbird Conversations, which I believe is really widely used., and EDS Calendar Integration who shouldn't have any effect on visual elements. Considering I don't have steps to reproduce, I can't check for months without to see if this reproduce.
I can't be 100% certain, but I do believe this might have happened several times after a PC reboot when I'm reopening several programs at the same time, especially Firefox with quite a bunch of things to open. Could it be some kind of timeout of the rendering similar to what's tried to be fixed here? https://github.com/thunderbird-conversations/thunderbird-conversations/issues/2121#issuecomment-2453454118

Of note, switching boxes, sections and so on, which I believe should trigger a new rendering? doesn't fix things.
I can read emails by selecting them, just blindly without knowing which emails.

Okay I just realized the problem is worse than I thought, and that it might explain why text is missing:
A more careful look shows that what should be in the "location" column is actually visible and listed… in the date column!
Under the button to select the columns to display, we can barely see one digit and then the "…" showing there isn't enough space, because the date appears there even if it's not really a column.
The symbol for spam messages appears in the unread count column.
In the end it appears everything is shifted one column to the right and the reason subject can't be read is because it's under the "Sort by read status" column which is a very thin one, so all we can see is the > of threaded emails.
Do I reopen this bug but correct the name, or do I open a new distinct one?
The bug looks even stranger in the end…
