Steps to reproduce:
- Open an image with a very long filename in a tab
- Hover that tab
Actual results:
The new default hover preview doesn't show the image resolution.
Expected results:
The old tooltips (browser.tabs.hoverPreview.enabled
= false
) show image resolutions regardless of the size of their filenames.
Blocks: tab-preview
Component: Untriaged → Tabbed Browser
OS: Unspecified → All
Hardware: Unspecified → Desktop
If you want to keep it at a fixed character length, my suggestion is to truncate the middle of the title to make room for the resolution: Lorem [...] ipsum (500 x 500)
.

The original tooltip didn't truncate at all, so we might want to revisit this for the new hover previews.
