Double click on a word to highlight it.
From the markdown editor, select bold, or italics
Click ok
AR: Markdown is not applied
ER: It should be applied
The reason is that when you double-click to select a word, the word and the space next to it will be selected. The markdown is applied to this whole "word + space" thing, which doesnt render like it should.

Strangely this works just fine on Linux Nightly/Release but occurs on Windows Nightly versions. I do not have a way to test on MacOS. kohei, in your opinion, would this be a Firefox issue or something with BMO markdown editor changes?

It’s also fine on macOS Nightly/Release. It seems to be a text selection issue in Firefox. The attached video shows a space after a word is also selected. And I’ve just found Bug 1867495, which explains why this only happens on Windows. Since it’s expected behaviour, we can close this bug as INVALID.
