With a POP account, selecting Empty Trash on exit will disable the delete widget
in the main mailnews window; even the Del key will not work. Only after
doubleclicking on it (so it opens in a new window) will allow the delete key to
work as expected.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have a POP account setup
2. Select Empty Trash on exit in the account settings
3. Read messages

Actual Results:  
The delete widget is greyed out. You cannot delete directly any message, even
using keyboard.

Expected Results:  
The selected message should be deleted, period.

Checked also using classic theme, and the outcome is the same.

This bug doesn't show for Linux (2003021008), so I guess it's Win specific.

Forgive me for setting 1.3 blocking status: actually this behavior is not
present in candidate build 20030307. Marking as WFM.
