It can happen when connecting to a site, typing into a form, scrolling the page, etc. Mozilla locks and has to be killed from task manager. I have tried disabling pipelining and link caching, and it makes no difference. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start browsing 2. Wait for hang Actual Results: Mozilla eventually hangs. Expected Results: Mozilla should continue working as specified
A duplicate of bug 192294 ? Reporter : did you install cleanly mozilla ?
No, I did an upgrade install (as I usually do). I did clear both cache and history, which didn't help.
Reading the other referenced bug implies that the a nightly will fix this - do you suggest I try that?
This is a bad idea. When upgrading, clean your mozilla folder before installing a new version. This should be the answer to your bug. Please try this. - copy your plugins folder somewhere - uninstall mozilla with add/remove panel - delete mozilla.oeg/mozilla folder - delete in windows : nsreg.dat, mozver.dat and mozuninst.exe - install mozilla 1.3b and copy your plugins folder in this new mozilla. Did this cure the bug ?

I have reinstalled as per your instructions, and it has made no difference at all - Mozilla still randomly hangs. Seems like this is a dupe of 192294 as it looks like they have found a definate bug.
