User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030211 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030211 This morning, I noticed a rogue character '2' in an html email message. Looking at the source, there is no reason for the character to be there, and viewing the same html with navigator confirms that it is not there. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.not sure, but you can see from my snapshot of the screen both the message and it's source. 2. 3. Actual Results: rogue '2' displayed Expected Results: no rogue '2'
Max, there's not much that can be done unless you attach the message source.
Summary: rogue character in html message → Rogue character in HTML message
Max, the HTML source of the message you sent me includes many broken HMTL tags, such as: <td align="!" "l! eft"> and <td ! al! ign="left"> This is what's probably causing the problems. I'm afraid Mozilla isn't at fault here. It's the fault of whatever program generated the HTML. Unless Mozilla generated the bad HTML, this isn't a Mozilla bug, and is thus Invalid.
