User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 example: >> message1 >> > message2, reply to message1 > message3, reply to message2 like you can see, the first and second lines contain 2 greater signs following each other. In my opinion there should be a blank between the first and second greater sign. This should be also easier to implement than what you are doing now, because you simply take all the text of the email and put "> "before it. This is what a lot of other email clients do and I think it preferable. So I think the above email SHOULD look like this: > > message1 > > > message2, reply to message1 > message3, reply to message2 furthermore I think there should be an option to switch of the blue quote bar like it is also possible to switch of the display of emoticons as graphics. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. send yourself a message with some text 2. reply on this message and send it again to yourself 3. reply on the second message and send it again to yourself Actual Results: quoting a message puts a greater sign and a blank in front of the text, except if there is already a greater sign at the beginning of the text, in this case mozilla only puts a greater sign and omits the blank Expected Results: put always a greater sign AND a blank in front of the quoted text
This is by design and best practice. pi
