Steps to reproduce:

When Creating from Scratch or Editing Either a Calendar Event
or Task, the Window is too short, in that there are bottom portions of the Window
missing. The HEIGHT of the Window is wrong.

It requires constant re-sizing for each Event or Task created or edited, but Windows nor Thunderbird remember the size of the Window, so it occurs all over again each time.

Actual results:

Either Create or Edit an Event on Windows Thunderbird 128.4.2esr (64-bit)
and you'll see the Window that pops up isn't tall enough to contain
everything it should contain.

See Screenshots of both Creating/Editing and Event and the same for Task.

Expected results:

Window should scale to the proper height, to allow one to see all the options available for the Event or Task being created or edited.

Instead, the window is not tall enough and neither Thunderbird or Windows 10 remember the size when creating/editing either existing events or new ones.

This is a Screen Shot of the Task Window when Creating/Editing a Task.

As in the case of an Event Window, the bottom portion of the Window
is not scaled properly...and the bottom of the window is cut-off.

Neither Windows nor Thunderbird remembers the Windows size from prior use,
so 100% of the time, the Event/Task Edit window opens too small to be fully useful.

Try Help | Troubleshoot mode.
Those screenshots look odd. Are you applying some kind of OS scaling or spacing?

Hello Magnus..!

My Monitor is a Dell 27" Ultrasharpe...and
my Windows 10 Pro settings are set to 100%.

Resolution is 1920 X 1200.

The size of those Event and Task Create/Edit windows changed with Thunderbird a few versions back
and never got right again.

They were always perfectly well sized and perfectly visible for many years (on the same
hardware I have now.)

All the other Windows for Thunderbird and on my PC, in general, seem to work fine.

In order to make the Event Window fully visible, I have to elongate it each time.
In order to make the Task Event Window Normal, I have to elongate it and stretch out the RIGHT side.

I have to re-size these windows every single time I Create New Events and Tasks or Edit existing ones.

Thunderbird never remembers the scaling adjustments I have made.

This was never true with earlier versions of Thunderbird...but
once it got wonky, it has never self-corrected.

Any ideas?

Attached are Screenshots of how they SHOULD look by default (if they were scaled more normally).

Thanks so much!

Mark

This is How the Event Window SHOULD look...(approximately.)
It only looks this way if I elongate it each time by DRAGGING the bottom down.

This is the Task Window after I manually scale it.

To make the Task Window appear more normal, I have to
both ELONGATE it, and also pull the RIGHT side wider.

By default, the window is both TOO SHORT and Too Narrow via the Right Side.

The Task Create/Edit Window does NOT size properly by default,
not does the Event Create/Edit Window.
