When setting widget.windows.mica
to true the titlebar is full black and has no more an acrylic background. I'm on Windows 11 24H2.
"show accent color in titlebar and window borders" setting in Windows is disabled and no matter if browser.theme.native-theme
is disabled or enabled.
When bug 1764822 landed the acrylic background was working.

Can you attach your about:support? Is this a recent regression (maybe from bug 1926862) or did you just happen to test today?
Can you bisect with --setpref widget.windows.mica=true?

My build was two days old. With tip (bug 1926862 in it) the titlebar is no more black.
With HWA enabled the titlebar is white (light Windows theme) when window is active and inactive and the captions buttons are invisible.
With HWA disabled the titlebar is grey with different shades when window is active or inactive and the caption buttons are visible and smaller like when the mica titlebar is used.

Does that get fixed once you resize the window out of curiosity?

That's using software webrender, could you attach about:support on a clean profile? (Assuming you disabled it)

Yes. 😮

This was with HWA disabled. New one is with a new profile.
With both profiles the background is grey (old profile with window resize) and no acrylic effect.

Could you post an screenshot? Does it change with active / inactive window states? If so I think that is the windows backdrop, maybe you have disabled transparency effects on the windows settings or something?

Or in dark mode you also get the translucency fixed after a resize?

Transparency is on. Screenshot is how it looks.
Very strange, suddenly it works. I checked with dark mode and no transparency was shown. Switching back to light mode without success. Also the Windows windows had no transparency. When I tried to edit the FX taskbar icon for the old profile it looked like Explorer did a restart and the transparency worked on FX and Windows again.
With the old profile the white background is also gone after one resize. Restart shows the mica effect immediately now.

I close it as INVALID as it seemed to be a Windows glitch.
