I removed (renamed) the folder calendar-data and after 2 restarts thunderbird works well again. Will set up calendars again from scratch.
As long as I didn't touch the calendar, everything worked well.
As I started the calendar, all my calendars appeard (I did expect that no Calendar appears without the folder calendar-data) and
Thunderbird slowed down again.
Any hint how I can remove all integrated calendars?

Check the ones that have the most recurrent events. Trim where possible

Go to the calendars tab, right click the calendar(s) you want to disable/remove and unsubscribe or disable (from properties).

(In reply to Magnus Melin [:mkmelin] from comment #6)
Go to the calendars tab, right click the calendar(s) you want to disable/remove and unsubscribe or disable (from properties).
Also, Is "offline" disabled?
If yes, then this could be helped by Bug 1933099 - Importing many items from a CalDAV server with "Offline Support" disabled can cause significant jank
