User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030211 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030211 Sometimes (but annoyingly often), when I press <Reply> or <Reply All> to an email, I get landed in a Composer window with only Subject filled in: no recipient, no quoted text. Furthermore, if I type in the text area the composer is using a proportional font, which it usually does not (I'm using the plaintext composer.) I am using IMAP mail folders on UW imapd servers; subjectively it seems like it happens when Mozilla is otherwise slow accessing the server. I say "Mozilla is slow accessing the server" as opposed to "server is slow", because Mozilla occationally seems to stall for no apparent reason. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select an email in MailNews on an IMAP folder 2. Press Reply or Reply All Actual Results: Composer window with only Subject pops up Expected Results: Pop up Composer with Subject, recipient(s) and quoted text
I see such things too, but only when I start typing text before Mozilla has completely finished drawing the Compose window. For me, the solution is to wait until I'm sure Mozilla has finally finished drawing the Compose window and filling out all of the fields (this may take multiple seconds on my Pentium II 350 MHz).
