User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20021220 Chimera/0.6+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20021220 Chimera/0.6+ First time load of Chimera .6 without restart. Tried to upgrade plug ins with flash 6 installer. Got could not find report. However it did find and upgrade netscape 4.77 (I have been using with OS9.2) Am using Navigator to send this report. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.downloaded chimers 0.6 2.downloaded flash 6 installer with netscape 4.77 under os 9.2x classic 3.tried to upgrade navigator with flash 6 installer Actual Results: see above Expected Results: expected report that no upgrade was necessary or plug in should have upgraded
What is the URL to the version of Flash player you downloaded? Did you download the PPC installer or MacOSX installer? What OS version are you running? Does Chimera already show a Flash plugin in about:plugins? Is there a Flash plugin in /Library/Internet Plug-ins? Do you have Netscape 7 installed and did the installer find that?
Reporter, have you tried this with the latest nightly (ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/chimera/nightly/latest-trunk). Try that as well.
R.Wesley, are you saying you tried to install the Flash plug-in for OS 9 to the OS X Chimera application? That will obviously not work.
Summary: Flash 6 installer would not recognise Chimera .6 (Navigator) → Flash 6 installer would not recognise Chimera 0.6 (Navigator)
WFM with right installer

Be sure to download the correct version of flash player as the download site preferentially gives you the player for the OS of the browser you are downloading to.
