Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030121
Please finish what you started. I have a Mozilla 1.3b build. At least build one
last version of Mozilla for OS 9, 1.3 final.
It's not much to ask, especially when you put out builds for a truly microscopic
niche OS like BeOS.
I use OS 9 at work and at home every day and refuse to use another browser.
However, the UI bugs in this build are really annoying.
I am very disappointed that the best browser for the best desktop OS is now
frozen as a nightly build.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the Mozilla main page
2. Try to find 1.3a for Mac OS 9
3. Wonder why Mozilla.org abandoned loyal Mozilla advocates
Actual Results:
Anger
Expected Results:
Put out at an OS 9 build at least for each final version of Mozilla. Or at
minimum, finish what you started and release 1.3 for OS 9.
OS 9 is not dead. Steve Jobs can jump in the dumb coffin.

There was a promise that OS 9 users could download OS X CFM builds, and yet the
only builds I see are Mach O.
Empty promises...

There was no promise of OSX CFM builds, since it's _CFM_ that has been
downgraded to port status, not OS9 per se. Where did you think you saw such a
promise?
All the ports builds (Solaris, BeOS, etc, now including OS9) are contributed by
individuals who use those OSes and make the builds. None of them are made by
mozilla.org. If you're looking for someone who has the ability to build on OS9
and is willing to contribute builds, I'd suggest asking in the
netscape.public.mozilla.mac newsgroup. There may well be someone there who
would be willing to do it.

Also, note that work on issues specific to OS9 basically slowed to a trickle a
while back (even before the nightlies stopped being made). So it's not clear
how much better a current build would be than, the nightly you have or even 1.2.1.

Mozilla.org has officially dropped MacOS9 support after 1.2.1 was released.
the latest nightly build of os9 you can find is from Jan 22.
as Boris wrote, the carbon cfm build (which is now also retired) was never
"promised" nor tested on os9. It was always a "run at your own risk".
If you're dying to get a cfm build of 1.3 final, then go ahead and check with
the mozilla community to find a good enough soul to build it and smoketest it.
Or even better, do it yourself :-)
We no longer have the internal resources to do this. Sorry.
