Simply load the URL above and see that the right hand side is off the screen. If
you do not see it, take a look at the screenshots I captured comparing M-11's
rendering and Netscape 4.7's render of the same page. I tried to view the
source, but both 4.X and Mozilla refuse to display the source of this page. File
-> Edit Page in 4.X shows some encrypted garbage. Of course (doh!) IE5 displays
the source.

It would appear to be a table issue

Whiteboard: [TESTCASE]
The testcase only works if you save it to local file and then load it.
It seems like this bug is dependent on the actual size of the HTML file.
I have added lots of comment lines in the testcase, try removing 1 of them and
you get a slightly different result (there is a missing "l" in the word "Full").
Remove 2 or more and the bug disappears.
Dejavu! see bug 16306.

I'm not seeing the problem.
OS: other → Windows 98
I am still seeing this with M12 (see attachment above). Please reopen this
thing. This has got to be dogfood. You can't even read Yahoo! News properly.
Well it ain't dogfood, Jerry, but I do see this. REOPENING (ouch!).

Attaching a reduced form of the page. The table in the right hand column
gets "squeezed" out of the side of the main table.

However, the floated table on the left contains a <SCRIPT></SCRIPT>. If you
remove that <SCRIPT>, then the page lays out OK (perhaps something to do with
sink notification and reflow??)

Checked both testcases and they look fine. Build 2000013111 on Windows NT4 sp6.
Unable to test original URL - it's a 404 now. It could have been the fix for
bug 23235 "<SCRIPT></SCRIPT> affects table layout" that fixed this one too.

OK, the original problem is solved.
But there is another one bug showing up on the testcase 3726. When you resize
the browser to be small enough the table with short summary starts to overwrite
the contents of the second column of the main table. I'll try to find this bug
among others posted.

The testcases all look fine to me on Win98 2000030516 build. No problems with
scrollbars or text overwrting tables.
veried... looks good
