User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:133.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/133.0
Steps to reproduce:
-
Open this site, for example, and move your mouse cursor inside the rectangle with the image of a gaming mouse: https://www.turtlebeach.com/collections/mice
-
After the tooltip appears, move your cursor just a few pixels
Actual results:
The tooltip will disappear, which is an undesirable and unpredictable behavior on macOS.
Expected results:
The tooltip should only disappear when the mouse cursor moves outside the area where the tooltip is supposed to appear. See how this is implemented in Chrome and Safari.
I noticed that the tooltip behaves correctly in the Library window (it does not disappear even if you move the mouse cursor a significant distance). It would be great if all other tooltips in Firefox had this behavior.

Firstly, this behavior does not comply with Apple's guidelines. And secondly, it is simply inconvenient and annoying when the tooltip disappears every time I move my mouse literally a few pixels.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Cocoa' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
