Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 no problem with moz 1.3a and prior versions. Upgraded to 1.3b and when there is no mail to pop, mailer shows that it is in process of connecting to pop server for a long time. However, when there is actually mail on the server, it pops immediately. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Simply configure to pop your mail normally (using my previous config that worked with mozilla from before 1.0) 2. 3. using classic theme uninstalled 1.3a, then removed all files in mozilla folder, then installed. believe it to be working ok (i.e., indicating a connection problem that is not really there) 30 ms round trip time to pop server. Pop server appears to answer immediately when telnetted to it (on port 110). ISP advises no known issues with server. Have rebooted my PC and router with no change in behavior.
initial pop (when mailer is started) appears to finish very fast (under a second).
Reporter: Is this still a problem with a current Mozilla build?
