User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:133.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/133.0

Steps to reproduce:

Connect bluetooth headphones
Play any video on youtube
Disconnect headphones

Actual results:

Youtube playback stops with an endless buffering circle

Expected results:

Audio should continue playback via previous audio output device without the entire youtube video crashing into an endless buffering loop

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Audio/Video: Playback
Product: Firefox → Core

I can repro on release, but not on nightly. On release playback instantly stops when the bluetooth device is disconnected. I can get video playback to resume on my side by pausing/unpausing but the video is muted until I reload or change playback quality. On nightly, disconnecting/reconnecting works as expected.

Would you be able to test Firefox Nightly to see if that fixes the problem on your side and report back?
