In order to evaluate the effectiveness of soft-blocking, we'd like to see how many users have an installed add-on soft-blocked, and have* or have not overridden the soft-block.
For disabled add-ons, we currently only collect the add-on ID itself in telemetry. We would like to add data for disabled add-ons, similar to data we collect for enabled add-ons (aka active_addons
in telemetry), but only a subset:
- version
- blocklisted
- user_disabled
- app_disabled
- type
- scope
- normalized_channel
*Users having overridden a soft-block is somewhat measurable already, but the field that allows us to measure when they have not would implicitly give us that data again, just in a more consistent way.
