User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:133.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/133.0
Steps to reproduce:
Click Go → Previous → Unread Message (or press P)
Actual results:
The list of messages is scrolled so that the currently selected line is positioned at the top of the screen. This makes it harder to see messages just above the "last unread message".
Expected results:
This is "recent" behaviour change. Earlier in 2024 (I can't pinpoint the exact version when this changed because my profile is no longer backwards compatible), the list was only scrolled up if there were no unread messages currently visible.
The "Go to next unread message" feature still works as expected and does not scroll down aggressively (the currently selected line is not positioned at the bottom of the screen unless there were no unread messages visible on the screen when it was pressed).
The "Go to previous unread" message should behave similarly, as it did with older Thunderbird versions.

I checked an older Thunderbird installation. The issue was not present in v115.16.2.

Easy to reproduce, but for some reason this only seems to affect unthreaded views.
