An image map editor would be a cool thing to have in the editor. Consider this a placeholder. Help wanted as necessary. =)

cc dan and brian. Are either of you working on this? What we need to do (to turn on this feature) is ensure that the files are localizable (move items into dtd or css as appropriate). It'd be nice to have this enabled by approximately January 10 or so... :-)

The skin is going to be re-written, as per all the changes going on in XPFE at the moment. Refer to post news://news.mozilla.org/38C8B517.75A54FF%40netscape.com for more details. I will make the modify as soon as these changes land.
I sent the new files to Brian and Kathy last night, but bug 32465 is preventing this feature from working properly in M14 (not sure about nightlies). Also bugs like 13215, 13213, 32363 and 5995 are preventing the internal functions from working properly. There is still some work to be done with the interface (like context menus, hot keys, etc...), and a few features I'd like to add (like send to back/front), but as soon as those bugs are fixed it should at least be functional.
New files were checked in this weekend that should finally make it useable (minus some obvious UI problems). We decided to incorporate it into the image properties dialog, since this seem to be the most natural place for it. There are some other problems such as resize issues, drawing in the wrong place when scrolled, etc.. that are dependant on other bugs and can not be fixed until they are resolved. Other then that it should start appearing in the newer nighties, so play with it post any problems you have here.

I'll be giving that an overhaul today and tomorrow. The side toolbar buttons are not oriented correctly, and all the buttons need to be updated. There are a few other 'niggly bits' also. I'll send in the changes when done.
I found that if I wrapped all the titledbuttons in a toolbox tag with orient set to vertical it fixed the tools down the side. Also I was told by one of the XPFE guys we need to change our XUL to match the current spec, for example titledbuttons need to be just buttons, etc..
I wrapped the buttons in a <box> with orient="vertical". It works good. The buttons are tidied up. I had to make quite a few changes to the CSS. I'm finishing up the Properties dialog now. There was many html: elements in there so I'm reworking that. Should be finished soon today or early tomorrow.
Dan, Brian-- I hope you don't mind but I'm going to resolve this bug so QA and others will know that we think the Image Map editor is ready to go. :-) I expect any new issues in the image map editor will be filed as separate bugs.
