Mozilla 1.2.1 Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021217 I donwloaded the version which is advertised on the release page as compiled by Sun. Not only typing the keyboard doesn't work, but worse it crashes from time to time with the following message on the console: Gdk-WARNING **: gdk_font is NULL or not a fontset. Bus Error ---- Seems that there is mismatch/misuse of XFontSet vs XFontStruct somewhere, as was the case in bug 102208.
rbs, Which gtk/gdk library are you using? I haven't tried the binary yet, but I have seen the same error when I used gtk library downloaded from sunfreeware.com. Could you try with Sun's gtk library? The packages can be downloaded from sunw.com with Netscape 7. gtk library will be installed into /usr/sfw/lib. http://javashoplm.sun.com/ECom/docs/Welcome.jsp?StoreId=8&PartDetailId=NTSC-70-PKGADD-SP-ALL-G-F&TransactionId=Try

I have reported the problem to them. Not sure when they will install the Sun versions.
rbs wrote: > Not sure when they will install the Sun versions They do not need to install the Sun versions - just compile libIDL/gmodule/glib/gdk/GTK+/etc. with Sun Workshop - that should work for both gcc-based and Sun Workshop-based Mozilla binaries (I am using GDK/GTK+ v1.2.8 since a long time without problems) ... =compiling shared libraries with gcc will cause binary incompatiblities with Sun Workshop binaries (compiling them with Workshop works for both gcc and Workshop-compiled binaries) due a gcc bug... ;-(
I had this problem with the Sun built(forte) binary. Previous (latest 1.3b) did not have this problem. My OS is SunOS 5.9 with gnome. - Robert.Lopez@abq.sc.philips.com
