User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030220 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030220 If you cut and paste any text, whether from a website or from a plain text email, from Mozilla to a different text app, the line breaks don't properly transfer as they use to and should. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Select some text from an email or website. 2.Paste the text into a text editor (Appleworks or Simpler at least) 3.Observe the difference between the original text and the pasted text. Actual Results: Text was pasted as a block of text with no line breaks. or, in some apps, line breaks are translated into strange symbols (see examples) Expected Results: Should have pasted line breaks where html line breaks were, or where email line breaks were in the original text. See example GIF screenshot located at this web address: http://macpcs.com/imgs/mozilla_cut_n_paste_bug.gif The example shows the original text on the simple web page, along with the source of that page to show the line breaks in the html, as well as two examples of some pasted text from that page into two popular text editors. (Appleworks and Tex-Edit Plus) Also, but probably unrelated: When cutting and pasting the URL text from the location bar, it sure does suck bad that the text formatting comes with it.
Copying as styled text from the URL bar is bug 178448. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 194389 ***
