Maybe possible that this is the right behaviour but seems strange to me.
Under the image mozilla visualize a black line, if I put "float:left" in the
style sheet oll works fine (there is a commented out part in the page style
sheet). I think that this bottom space under the image is not necessary.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.display the page
2.
3.

Actual Results:
There is a black line under the image

Expected Results:
No black line under the image

Same behaviour under windows and mozilla 1.2 (or maybe older)
the one of the violet fig at the left.
can't you see that?

this is on a server connected by ADSL.

edoardo.
I think a better question is "*what* image?" since the URL provided is
insufficient (the hostname doesn't resolve to anything, and neither does
elrond.aspix.it/moz/bottomline.html). So without an actual test page it's going
to be very difficult to evaluate the bug.
Oh, for me the URL http://elrond/moz/bottomline.html in the URL bar somehow
ended up being http://www.councilofelrond.com/ . That probably isn't what you
meant either.
please excuse me,
the right address is "http://www.aspix.it/moz/bottomline.html"
and if not works "http://80.205.169.50/moz/bottomline.html"

excuse me again
Good, the numeric address worked. The situation you're encountering is explored
by http://devedge.netscape.com/viewsource/2002/img-table/ (which also contains a
few solutions). This is a duplicate of 22274.
