Message Pane buttons (+positions) are different for single message vs. collapsed thread - would like buttons to remain at the same positions when navigating the message list

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:134.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/134.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Email folder full of collapsed email threads interspersed among singular emails.
- Click "Archive" repeatedly in Message Pane to archive messages
Actual results:
With collapsed email thread selected, after clicking "Archive" button in Message Pane header, the next email in folder is selected automatically.
If next email is not also a nested conversation, the Message Pane buttons shift, with "Delete" now being positioned where the "Archive" button was previously.
Result: Emails get deleted instead of archived.
I've attached a screenshot showing this behavior with a red line separating the two different states.
Expected results:
Message Pane header buttons should remain in consistent positions for a less frustrating user experience when transitioning between collapsed threads and other messages.
