User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:135.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/135.0

Steps to reproduce:

Since with Firefox version 135.2 it is again possible to select a light app icon on iOS, I wanted to know if this function can also be added for macOS, since almost every browser has a bright app icon and Firefox should also have it. Therefore, it would be nice to add a setting to allow the user to switch the appearance of the app icon.

Product: Firefox → Firefox for iOS
Version: Firefox 135 → unspecified

hi, I think there was a misunderstanding because I'm talking about Firefox for macos and not the iOS version

Do other apps have light/dark icons on macOS?

Component: General → Widget: Cocoa
Product: Firefox for iOS → Core

As far as I know there is no application for macOS that supports such a function, it would be nice to implement a function that determines the appearance of the current theme, i.e. dark or light mode.

Alternatively, I would suggest that the default icon for macOS gets a white background to be uniform with the Android and iOS app as well as the Windows version.
